I remember Mom, Dad, my sister and I gathered around an ancient radio in Pasadena, TX listening to one or more LSU games with Billy Cannon as QB. My brother was in forestry school at LSU at the time. We could barely hear the signal, but as I recall, it was the Ole Miss game that we were all so very excited about. Even at my age, I now feel just a little of that excitement within. Your posting brings back such great memories - as usual. And deepens my experience of LSU football which I am watching with great interest - especially tonight (they are playing Alabama).
